Originally launched in 1961 and formulated by legendary master perfumer Francis Fabron, Capricci is a legendary, ultra-aristocratic green floral chypre. This rare collector’s specimen features the highest, most opulent concentration: Pure Parfum (Extrait), housed in the highly coveted 13ml (marked as 1/4 Oz. Parfum + 1/4 Oz. Propellant) ribbed glass travel flacon with a heavy gold-finished atomizer cap and its original vintage box.
Buyers familiar with vintage luxury perfumery will note that this bottle appears to have an air gap at the top. This is NOT due to usage or evaporation; this is 100% Factory Full (Deadstock). As clearly stated on the box, this is a 1980s Atomiseur Propellant system containing exactly 7.5ml of pure parfum oil and 7.5ml of compressed gas. Because it is a pressurized gas system, the bottle was mathematically engineered by Nina Ricci to be twice the volume of the liquid to leave a mandatory vacuum air-expansion cushion to prevent exploding under climate shifts. Furthermore, when the long, heavy metal spray neck mechanism is fully screwed into the bottle, it displaces the liquid. The juice sits flawlessly at the highest point of the bottle shoulder, confirming it remains pristine, untouched, and fully intact at original factory capacity.
This pure vintage 1980s parfum extrait contains a magnificent density of natural raw materials that are completely banned or restricted by modern IFRA regulations today. The scent opens with brilliant, soaring French aldehydes before blooming into a breathtakingly rich, powdery floral heart driven by costly natural Iris concrete and wild Narcissus absolutes. The entire composition is anchored by an incredibly deep, velvety, and creamy foundation of genuine old-growth Indian Mysore Sandalwood and raw oakmoss.
