Originally created by perfumer Michael Hy, Eau de Calandre is a floral chypre fragrance. It has top notes of aldehydes, bergamot, and green notes, a heart of rose, geranium, jasmine, hyacinth, and lily-of-the-valley, and base notes of oakmoss, vetiver, sandalwood, musk, and amber. The vintage versions are highly valued by collectors as the original formulation has a distinct character, including a prominent “metallic” quality and rich oakmoss notes
