Decode a batch code
Chanel batch codes are inherently ambiguous. 3-digit codes (e.g., 10K, BA1) reliably indicate vintage-era production, but require physical bottle details to resolve the exact year.
Gate A: Vintage (Pre-1990)
- No EMB Code: Pre-1978.
- Alcohol as “°”: Pre-1980.
- Alcohol as “%”: Post-1980.
- No Barcode: Pre-1990.
Gate B: Modern (Post-1990)
- Green Dot: Post-1992.
- “Eau de Toilette” Position:
• Above “Chanel”: Pre-1995.
• Below “Chanel”: Post-1995. - Neuilly Address: Post-2005.
